Badger Pass - located inside Yosemite National Park on Glacier Point Road - is just a 45 minute drive from The Redwoods In Yosemite. Known as the oldest ski resort in California, it offers some of the best cross country skiing in the country, as well as some exciting downhill skiing. With five lifts and ten downhill ski runs, Badger Pass has been a favorite for families for generations. Eighty five percent of Badger's slopes are at the beginner or intermediate level.
The ski resort features one of the nicest sundecks in the Sierras, and you can easily watch your friends and family as they learn to ski or snowboard while you enjoy the sunshine on a clear winter day. Ski and snowboard instruction, rental equipment, a ski shop, cafeteria and lounge are all available at Badger Pass.
Badger Pass Information:
- Open daily from 9:00 a.m. in the morning till 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon
- Ten Downhill Runs- 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced
- Five Lifts- One triple-chair; three double chair; one handle tow
- 90 Miles of cross-country trails begin from Badger Pass
- Elevation ranges from 7200 ft. to 8000 ft.
- Average temperature ranges from 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit

Our guests may stop by our office to buy discounted Badger Pass ski lift tickets. Adults can ski all day, including holidays, for $30. Children (ages 12 and under) can ski for just $15. This discount is good for lift tickets only. The Park Concessionaire offers a free shuttle from Wawona Hotel to Badger Pass most weekends. Check at the front desk for details.
